Paying for comfort, care and peace of mind

We promise high quality comprehensive care that represents excellent value for money.

Providing superior care means catering for the varied individual needs of each of our residents with a daily programme of group and one to one activities which means our residents lead a full and happy life every day. They are not just left sitting alone in a corner. To make this viable we have a high ratio of well-trained staff to residents to lead activities and engage with residents personally. The fees are reviewed annually and cover the cost of maintaining this attentive level of care at Peregrine House.

Our fees this year are from £1575 per week for single room occupancy and are payable in advance by monthly standing order.

Transparent fees

During the course of the year, we will never increase fees after admission because “care needs have changed”, nor will we charge extra for items such as toiletries and fresh fruit that some care homes reveal only after admission.

We will transport you or your loved ones to and from hospital in Whitby, Scarborough or Middlesbrough in one of our vehicles. If a wheelchair taxi is required there would be a receipted charge from the taxi firm – nothing more.

Providing good care carries significant expense and we aim to pay our team more than any other care home in the area. If we discover we been overtaken in this respect we review and head for “pole position” once again to secure and retain the best staff.

In this way we have, over more than 27 years, managed to bring together what we believe is the finest care home team in Whitby, and possibly the whole country.
